Mode One's MO-SK-002 is designed to be a hunter's skinning knife. The first thing that you will notice is the blade's nonexistent point. The edge of the blade starts on the bottom of the blade and continues around in a circular curve to the top side of the blade where it meets a finger safety bump. This type of edge makes this knife very pleasant to work with during detailed skinning. The jimping along the top side of the blade provides grip in slippery conditions. The jimping also allows you the choke up on the blade while still remaining safe and in control. The knife's full tang provides great rigidity and stability. The handle is ergonomically designed to be comfortable in your hand however you may hold the knife. The handle scales are made of G10 composite material that is textured for grip. The G10 handle scales are very durable, tough, and can put up with a lot of abuse. The knife's weight is shifted toward the butt of the handle which allows for better control over the tip of the blade and causes less fatigue in the hand. There is a lanyard hole located at the end of the handle for convenience and personal preference.
