Mode One's Paleo™ Folder (MO-FK-004) is designed to be a hunter's skinning folding knife but is so versatile and comfortable that it can be used as an everyday carry pocket knife.
The knife's blade is made of D2 Tool steel which provides a great combination of sharpness, edge retention, rigidity, and toughness. The blade is 2.874 inches in length making this knife very versatile. Rockwell Hardness between 58 and 60.
The handle is ergonomically designed to be comfortable in your hand however you may hold the knife. The handle scales are made of G10 composite material that is textured for grip. The G10 handle scales are very durable, tough, and can put up with a lot of abuse.
This knife uses a stainless steel liner locking mechanism for securing the blade in the locked position. This knife is not spring assisted and does not have a "flipper" to help with opening. There is a ambidextrous thumb stud to help with opening and closing the blade.
The knife's weight is shifted toward the butt of the handle which allows for better control over the tip of the blade and causes less fatigue in the hand. There is a lanyard hole located at the end of the handle for convenience and personal preference. Mode One's design goals are always to keep things simple, functional, and clean. The MO-FK-004 embodies these goals.
